Short bio: Born in Bilbao, I spent my early (and most important) years between Valladolid, Villeguillo (Segovia) and Íscar (Valladolid). Later, I moved to the United Kingdom where I earned a BA in Business and Economics from the University of Kent. Following this, I completed a MSc in Economics and a PhD in Economics from the University of Warwick (2010). During this time, I was also a visiting research student at Vanderbilt University (2004-05). In 2011, I joined the economic history group at the Universitat de València where I have since developed my academic career.
